 Custard Dry fruit  Mousse is a part of my experiment and imagination and i tried to win your heart with this dessert. Custard is everyone's favorite, it could be made in several way. This recipe involves delicious combination of cream, dry fruits and custard. Custard is cooked very gently with cream to make it thick and creamy in consistency. A very easy recipe which can be made by anyone and you must make this dessert. Specially children are going to like this nutritious dessert a lot as it contains their most favorite ingredients cream, nuts and custard.

   Ingredients
  • Custard Powder 1 tbsp
  • Whipped cream 2 cup
  • Almond Chopped 8-10 
  • Cashew Chopped 10-12
  • Anjeer 2-3
  • Raisins 10-12
  • Fruit crush (citrus blue) 1 tsp
  • Icing sugar 4 tbsp

How to make Custard dry fruit mousse (Method)

Step 1 : Take 1 1/2 cup of whipped cream in a bowl and whisk it for 2 minutes to make cream more light and fluffy.



Step 2 :Pour 1 teaspoon of fruit crush (citrus blue) into whipped cream bowl and whisk it for 1 minute. The fruit crush adds flavor  and gives nice color.






Step 3 :In another bowl pour 1/2 cup of milk, add 1 table spoon of custard powder and mix it well. Make sure the lumps are not formed.





Step 4 :Keep a pan on medium flame pour one cup of milk and bring it to a boil. Add 4 table spoon of icing sugar in milk and stir it well.


Step 5 :Pour milk and custard powder mixture into boiled milk and keep stirring for 2 minutes and let custard milk become thick like paste.



Step 6 :Turn of the flame and after  2 minutes add 1/2 cup of whipped cream into pan and mix them well.


Step 7 :Add some chopped dry fruits in custard and Pour out custard in a bowl.


Step 8 :Take a cup to serve custard dry fruits mousse. Pour 1 tablespoon of custard in cup, pour 2 tablespoon of whipped fruit crush cream over custard and spread some dry fruits .




Step 9 : Now again pour 2 tablespoon of custard over cream and again pour 2 tablespoon of whipped fruit crush cream over custard.(Make alternate layers of custard and cream )

Step 10 : Decorate custard dry fruit mousse with some dry fruits and keep it in refrigerator for 15 minutes. Serve it chilled and enjoy it with your family.


Points to keep in mind while making Custard Dry fruit Mousse



  • I have used fruit crush of mapro to add color and flavor in cream, you can use any brand you want or you can use any fruit essence you want.
  • To avoid lumps, make sure the milk  is at room temperature in which you have to add custard powder.
  • Cook custard on low flame.
  • Don't stop stirring custard while cooking, so that it is not sticking on the base of pan.
