Samvat Barfi | Sama Barfi for navaratri upawas

Its a traditional sweet for fast, combination of khoya and sama flour.
You must have tried Kaju barfi, mawa barfi, khoya barfi, now its time to make sama barfi. Its very easy to make samwat barfi and even its not time consuming.
I have explained evey steps very easily with photos for your convenience.

ALL YOU NEED  (INGREDIENTS)

  • Samvat flour 250 gms
  • Khoya 100 gms
  • Sugar 200 gms
  • Ghee 200 gms
  • Cardomon powder
  • Dry fruits 


How to make Sama Barfi for Fast (Method)



Step1:   Take a kadhai on low flame, pour 200 grams of ghee. Once the ghee becomes hot pour samvat (sama) flour into kadhai. Stir and mix them well, once  flour gets mixed with ghee properly stir it on every 30 seconds on low flame. Keep stirring until it becomes golden brown.





Step2: Take out Roasted sama flour into a bowl.




Step3:  Keep Kadhai on low flame and pour 1 cup of milk into kadhai. Stirmilk and let the milk comes to a boil.

Step4:  Pour khoya into the kadhai, mix khoya and milk poperly. Keep mixing khoya and milk for 5 minutes. Add sugar into kadhai and mix everything properly.




Step5:  Once the paste of milk,sugar and khoya is obtained pour roasted sama flour into that same kadhai.

Step6:  Mix roasted sama flour with khoya,sugar and milk paste until it gets mixed properly. Once everything is mixed stir  every 20 seconds for 10 minutes.



Step7: Turn off the stove, add cardamon powder and mix it well. Let the mixture cool gradually.

Step8:  Grease a plate with  ghee  and pour the mixture into greased plate.

Step9:  Spread mixture uniformly  and to set barfi, keep it in refrigerator for 10 minutes



Step10:  Take out plate from refrigerator and Cut the berfi into square shape.

Step11:  Put some dry fruits on every berfi and its ready to serve. Enjoy your berfi.





POINTS TO KEEP IN MIND WHILE MAKING SAMVAT (SAMA) BARFI

  • Don't let flour stick on base of kadhai while roasting samvat (sama) flour. It will add bad test in your berfi.
  • Mix every thing very well in order to obtain desired taste.
  • Cool the berfi mixture propely. Don't cut berfi mixture when its hot. Berfi will crack if you do so.
