Dhokla is made up of Gram flour or chickpea flour, however this time I am going to make it more nutritious. Oats are rich in fiber, it is easily digestible. Ingredients
- Oats 1 cup
- Gram flour 11/2 cup
- Baking Soda 1/2 tbsp
- Curd 1 cup
- Lemon juice 1 tbsp
- Mustard seeds 1 tbsp
- Curry leaves
- Green chilly 3-4
- Salt to taste
- Sugar powder 1 tbsp
- Ghee 2 tbsp
How to make Oats Dhokla
Step 1: Grind oats into flour.
Step 6: Grease a thali or container and pour batter into it.
Step 7: Take 3 cups of water in a large cooking vessel on a medium flame and bring it to a boil.
Step 8: Place stand inside the vessel and keep the batter container on the stand.
Step 9: Cover the vessel with a lid or plate and let the dhokla batter be steamed for 20 minutes.
Step 10: Take out the dhokla container and let it cool at room temperature. Cut dhokla into square or rectangular pieces.
Tadka for Dhokla
STEP 1: Take 1/2 cup of water in a pan add 1 tablespoon of sugar and 2 pinches of salt, bring it to a boil and keep it aside.
Step 2: Add 2 tablespoon of oil in a tadka pan and add mustard seeds when oil becomes hot, let the seeds crackle and add chilly and curry leaves. Turn off the stove after 30 seconds.
Step 3: Pour sugar and water solution in tadka mixture and stir once.
Step 4: Spread tadka mixture over dhokla and serve it with coriander chutney.
